For the last decade he has become an innovator in what he calls "Persepective Technologies". One example of this is the creation of "Multi Lapse" which is explained below. Add to this his technical, artistic and efficient approach and you have one of Canada's up an coming DOP's at your disposal. He has several awards and a sponsor to his name.
1) Multi Lapse-
Multi Lapse: is defined as a technique that mixes many different elements of in camera time lapse creation together in a way that enhances the viewers experience via a uniquely surreal moving POV perspective. During August of 2012 Chris was a Director / DOP for a the short film "In Motion"
in which he was required to build a motorized motion control car suitable for urban environments. In contrast, he also had to build a motorized dolly and track system that is ideal for rural environments. Together with both devices the possibilities are now endless with virtually no restrictions in distance, movement and time. Chris now offers this as a service to existing and new clients.
2) Camera Car Mount- with full motion control
Chris can acquire fantastic urban style footage up to 5K resolution from a custom camera car mount. Gyro stabilized units are available for the smoothest and most stabile shots. The camera operator sits in the passenger side which is equipped with an HD monitor and joystick to control pan and tilt up to 360 degrees. There is room in the back for the Director and Producers to watch the monitor. The mount can be place on the front top or back of the production car.
