DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Chris has thirteen years experience in the TV, Film and Broadcast industries. Specializing in moving Time Lapse, Aerial Cinematography, Commercials, Reality, Documentaries, Web Series, Life Style and Entertainment. He has utilized almost every digital camera from Canon 5D to Red Epic. Over this time he has developed a reputation for his keen sense of composition, cinematic style and professional demeanor. For the last decade he has become an innovator in what he calls "Persepective Technologies". One example of this is the creation of "Multi Lapse" which is explained below. Add to this his technical, artistic and efficient approach and you have one of Canada's up an coming DOP's at your disposal. He has several awards and a sponsor to his name.

PERSPECTIVE TECHNOLOGIES

1) Multi Lapse-

Multi Lapse: is defined as a technique that mixes many different elements of in camera time lapse creation together in a way that enhances the viewers experience via a uniquely surreal moving POV perspective. During August of 2012 Chris was a Director / DOP for a the short film "In Motion" in which he was required to build a motorized motion control car suitable for urban environments. In contrast, he also had to build a motorized dolly and track system that is ideal for rural environments. Together with both devices the possibilities are now endless with virtually no restrictions in distance, movement and time. Chris now offers this as a service to existing and new clients.

2) Camera Car Mount- with full motion control

Chris can acquire fantastic urban style footage up to 5K resolution from a custom camera car mount. Gyro stabilized units are available for the smoothest and most stabile shots. The camera operator sits in the passenger side which is equipped with an HD monitor and joystick to control pan and tilt up to 360 degrees. There is room in the back for the Director and Producers to watch the monitor. The mount can be place on the front top or back of the production car.

Chris provides footage to various stock houses such as Getty Images. Click on the Stock Footage link at the top of this site to access some of the time lapse and reel time footage from Alaska, Yukon, Mongolia, Vancouver, Rio De Janeiro & Sao Paulo Brazil. Tests are currently under way and expect 3D time lapse available some time in the early parts of 2013.
